Business Development Officer

Position Overview:


The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for driving strategic initiatives to enhance the club's professional network, sponsorship opportunities, pro bono project engagements, and overall industry connections. This role requires a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on cultivating relationships and creating value for the club’s members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Corporate Partnerships:

    • Identify, engage, and establish relationships with companies and organizations for potential partnerships and sponsorships.

    • Maintain ongoing communication with existing corporate sponsors to ensure mutually beneficial collaborations.

  2. Pro Bono Project Development:

    • Seek and secure pro bono consulting projects by reaching out to local businesses, non-profits, startups, and other organizations in need of consulting services.

    • Collaborate with the VP of Training to match project opportunities with member teams, ensuring projects align with member skill sets and development goals.

  3. Financial Growth:

    • Work closely with the VP of Finance to secure funding for the club’s operations and events through sponsorships and donations.

    • Assist in managing budgets for business development activities and ensure efficient allocation of resources.

  4. Community Engagement:

    • Act as an ambassador for TAMUGC, representing the club at industry events, conferences, and other relevant platforms.

    • Foster relationships with Texas A&M University alumni in consulting and related fields to create networking opportunities for members.

 

Qualifications:

  • Current graduate student at Texas A&M University (TAMU).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proven leadership experience, preferably within a student organization or professional setting.

  • Knowledge of the consulting industry and its dynamics is a plus.

Marketing Officer

Position Overview: 

As a Marketing Officer for TAMUGC, you will play a vital role in promoting the Club's activities and events, ensuring effective communication with members and stakeholders. You will be the professional voice of the Club, delivering impactful messages and maintaining our brand presence.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing and updating the TAMUGC website.

  • Creating event registration forms using the website or Google Forms.

  • Designing graphics optimized for various platforms and formats (digital and print).

  • Sending weekly email newsletters and reminders using member databases.

  • Posting engaging content about events and activities on LinkedIn.

  • Assisting with room reservations as needed.

  • Attending weekly Leadership planning meeting

  • Brainstorming and researching new mediums to expand the reach of TAMUGC and its activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Current graduate student at Texas A&M University (TAMU).

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, website management, and email marketing.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Creative and proactive problem-solver.

  • Familiarity with TAMUGC’s mission and goals is a plus.
